Welcome back to Halsadiya Beauty Blog 💃🏾

Hey guys, Can I have your attention???

It’s my one year blogiversary, exactly one year ago today I published my first post on Halsadiya Beauty Blog. I will be sharing everything I’ve learnt and my journey with you guys .

Firstly, I want to thank each and everyone of you for following, liking, commenting and also sharing my posts. Thank you for the tags, retweets, likes and being so supportive and welcoming. To those that I constantly disturb by sharing my posts thru private messages or DM’s on Instagram, Snapchat and Whatsapp; thank you all for not blocking me.

▪ How I Started!

I originally started this blog in August but couldn’t figure it out till September, when I published my first post. I still kept on contemplating if I really wanted to do this or not, like I had never ever thought that I would be the kind of person to start up a blog. Seems I was able to discover some part of myself. I discovered my love for writing and wanting people to read what I write. Tbh, as funny as it sounds, I also wanted fame. If you know me personally, you know I’m the kind of person that loves getting noticed wherever I go and the weird thing is I’m shy. Contradicting, right? So that’s it’s all and I realized I wanted to make money from it along the line.

Blogging is fun! There have been ups and downs. But you know what, life isn’t a roller coaster. It can’t always be smooth. There have been self doubts, inconsistency and comparing myself to other bloggers which leads to no good.

I started with a free account which I had a subdomain under WordPress till I moved premium around July 25. Blogging has exposed me to a lot in all aspects especially content writing, graphics design, social media advertising & SEO tools. I’ve also met some amazing people, blogging communities and learned a lot along the way. I’m pretty excited I’ve made it this far.

I have a blog diary I carry everywhere incase I get ideas anywhere as so as not to forget and I make a recording sometimes. I’ve also been able to expand my knowledge in vocabulary.

I do recommend beauty/skincare products to some friends and people online which has worked for couple of them. Thank you guys for trusting me enough to recommend products for you.

Some of the blogging community I follow on Twitter include; #bloggerstribe, the clique talk, teacupclub, influencerRT, PLBchat, bloggersparkle etc. One you follow one, you see the others.

I just realized that while moving from my previous subdomain to my domain, my DA and PA credibility was gonna start over from scratch. It’s really sad tho, but I will work on it

Tbh, I really don’t know how good or bad or how far I’ve accomplished. But I feel I did try.

Moving from a free plan (sub domain) to a premium plan (domain) in less than a year of blogging is a great accomplishment for me.

Also, I’m pretty close to 10k views in a year, over 300 followers, highest likes of 340 in a day, close to 2000 views on my most viewed post. These feels great.

Having a true readership. I have over 300 followers and I have at least 200 views on a weekly basis. This is actually an engaged audience. It doesn’t really matter how many followers you have if they aren’t interacting with your blog. Like what’s the point of having 5000 followers when you can’t get up to 100 views per day??? If you have over 5000 followers, then make sure you have at least 4000 weekly views- This right here is an engaged audience.

Also my DA and PA credibility went back to zero. I had a DA of 14 and PA of 15 using my subdomain ( and right now my domain ( currently have a DA of 3 and PA of 3 😭😭. Well, I hope to get over it and make more progress with my blog views. I have faith that it will improve. Pictures of my stats, weekly views, top 3 posts and blog referrals, views from top 10 countries are included below 👇

Setting blogging goals on a regular basis is really important as it does help to grow your blog and also keep you motivated and inspired. I think I have a lot of them right now.
Taking baby steps, I will love to move from the hosted WordPress to the self hosted WordPress. If possible before the end of this year. I need access to more SEO tools as to increase my DA and also professional themes.

DA and SEO are close related. DA (domain authority) is a search engine ranking score, which ranges from 0 – 100. The higher the score, the higher you will rank on search engines such as Google which also means higher traffic and exposure for your blog. Brands also love to work with bloggers who have higher DA (minimum of 25, depending on the brand). This requires lot of patience.

Also, I want to increase my blog traffic through Pinterest and Bloglovin. I’ve been quite occupied for past 3 weeks and I’ve ignored my Pinterest a bit and lost some views which I need to gain back with force 💪. And I really do not understand bloglovin at all, I need to work on these two so bad.

Customizing my site, since I moved premium I haven’t even had much time to sit and customize my site which I really need to work on.

Lastly, guest posting. I’ve applied for couple of this, rejected some and some didn’t get back to me. I guess I really need to increase my DA to apply for brands I prefer. Guest posting goes in hands with increasing DA. Guest posting is a way to expose your blog to a completely new audience. If you write high quality blog post for another site, then the audience of that site are more likely to visit your blog and subscribe to it.

I also want to be really consistent with blogging, no matter the pressure from work and make use of social media regularly. I’m lazy when it gets to replying messages. And I really want more followers on my Instagram page @theladylymarh.

Yup, I’ve got other plans for myself and my blog and also in the beauty world. Once I’m settled, I really wanna start up a skincare brand with Organic and natural ingredients.
Then laterrr, I could think of a makeup brand..
Oh, also a certified beauty consultant and brand Influencer.

Do not give up, sometimes it’s hard and all but please don’t
Never ever compare yourself with other bloggers, trust me girrrlll, it does no good.
Blogging is fun and creative. Just stick to what you love. Have a niche.

Thank you for reading my long post 💋💋

P.s: If you’ve made it to the end of this post, then I have a little surprise. To celebrate my one year blogiversary, I’ve decided to do a giveaway
