Welcome back to Halsadiya Beauty blog 💃🏾and Happy New month guys.

Natural hair styles are endless but I can say that twistout is one of the most versatile style and very simple to achieve which makes it one of our favourite natural hair styles.

I’ve had this post in my memo for a long time and I’m sorry I’m just posting this. Twistout can be done using variety of techniques and the key to a perfect twist out is to start with freshly washed hair and regularly applying oil or holding products to the twists.

Left to me, I will pick braids/braid out over twists/twist out not only because I find twisting stressful but because I always prefer how my hair looks after unravelling my braids. This was the only time I was so close to achieving my perfect twistout but I ruined it all by combing it and washing it immediately.

I went to my favorite salon to make my twists.

▪ I did already prepoo my hair overnight at home

▪ My hair was sectioned into 4 and was washed using Cantu cleansing shampoo

▪ After washing, my hair was conditioned using creme of nature coconut milk conditioner

▪ Deep conditioned and rinsed thoroughly

RECOMMENDED: Shea Moisture Manuka, Honey & Mafura oil masque and Shea Moisture JBCO deep treatment masque

▪ Used a cotton towel to dry my hair a bit so as not to allow water dripping on me.

▪ I applied my favourite Shea Moisture JBCO leave in conditioner to my hair and also Argan Oil

▪ My stylist started twisting my hair, applying Shea butter and Eco styler gel in Olive oil for extra hold. Took about 2 hours to finish up my lovely twists.

I’ve never had a better twist than this, this picture is a week old after I got my twist made 😍😍

And this is 3 weeks after 😍❤

I did take care of my twists by moisturizing my scalp daily and applying oils and butter to my scalp and ends everyday. The older the Twist, the finer they look ✌

After 4 weeks of taking care of my twists, I decided to unravel them. I personally detest loosing my hair myself and this twists were just too much, I’m sure my twists were over a hundred (no jokes).

I got tired after taking out like 40 twists or so and rushed to the salon.

Before I went to the salon, I took few shots how the twists I unravelled myself and they looked so nice. I wished I took my time to unravel all and take great pictures 😭

My hair after washing and combing, so much volume 😩😍

How do you twist your natural hair? Have you ever achieved a perfect twistout? Which will you prefer; Twistout or Braidout?? What’s your thought on this post???

  1. I love seeing how natural curly looks are achieved! My hair is fine and straight so it’s a special treat. I think my favourite look is all that volume at the end. It’s so stylish and relaxed.

  2. I wish my hair would cooperate with me long enough to do a twist out but it seems to have a mind of its own. I truly respect people who can go natural and stay natural. I have been trying to dedicate my hair to the natural lifestyle but it has a mind of its own & I just don’t have the patience lol. Now I never tried the masque before so I will definitely look more into that.

  3. So beautiful! I remember when I used to straighten my hair every day, so time consuming! Your hair looks great and it’s really interesting to see the whole process so thanks for sharing 🙂 I have followed your blog too and you can check mine out if you like!
